CANCELLATION POLICY

SEASTARS reserves the right to make changes to the schedule (including cancellations) due to emergencies, weather, maintenance/repairs, and other related instances.  In such an event, we will contact you by phone or email (provided we have both means available to us) and will do everything in our power to accommodate you at another time and day if such a change should be necessary.

If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson you should contact  the lesson coordinator (Debbie Taylor) either by email, phone, or text message.  Debbie’s number is 850-418-0644.

If you need to cancel a lesson the day a lesson is to be given it is better to contact your instructor directly since to insure your instructor knows immediately about the cancellation. You will need to contact Debbie to reschedule or renumber the canceled lesson.

Canceling a lesson is okay but we ask that you give SEASTARS at least two hours notice before the lesson is set to begin or we have to charge for that day’s lesson. Otherwise, we can reschedule or just push the lesson towards (renumber) the next week. The lessons are numbered 1-4 on the instructor’s schedule. For example, if you cancel lesson #3, the next scheduled lesson would then become number 3 unless you would like to see if we have another day available that week for a makeup lesson.

If we have to cancel a lesson because of a storm (even though we are an indoor pool we still have to close the pool if there is lightning outside), an issue with the pool, or instructor illness, then we keep Friday’s open for those makeups. However, we can still just renumber if that is easier for you.

Refunds

If you have prepaid for lessons and will not be able to use them, they can be held on account for future services. If no future lessons will be scheduled we will refund the unused amount and the refund will be mailed out to you by check. SEASTARS is a non-profit organization and all lesson proceeds go towards the costs incurred for our swim team. If you prefer, the amount owed to you to go to SEASTARS as a donation.
